Stand Up To Coal and other stakeholders will meet at the Homer United Methodist Church, at 7:00pm, Saturday, July 28th, 2012.

Join us in working to protect our quality of life, land, water and communities from the coal mine. All who are concerned about Sunrise Coal, LLC’s proposed Bulldog mine in Vermilion County are invited to participate. Coal mines are water intensive, and generate huge quantities of harmful waste.

At this meeting, we will prepare for the Water Committee meeting on July 30th, 2012 in Homer, where the Village of Homer will consider whether or not to sell the community’s water to the mine for washing coal.

Flyers for the meeting may be downloaded here.
