Join us at the Vermilion County Board. Group members will present a list of questions submitted to Sunrise Coal on behalf of Stand Up to Coal by the Prairie Rivers Network in December. As yet we have received no response. Without this essential information, it is difficult if not impossible for landowners to determine what impact leasing their coal reserves to Sunrise will have on their community.
Stand Up To Coal will also ask the Board to adopt a resolution opposing coal mining activities on highly productive farmland.
